Rob Trice, Founding Partner
Rob founded Better Food Ventures in 2013 to invest in companies applying IT to improve food and agriculture. He also founded The Mixing Bowl as forum for thought exchange on how IT can be applied to food and ag. Rob leverages 15 years in mobile/internet/telecom VC having worked at Swisscom Ventures, SK Telecom Ventures, Nokia Growth Partners (now NGP Capital) and Nokia Venture Partners (now BlueRun Ventures). Prior to his days in VC, he worked at DIRECTV & DC-based think-tank CSIS. He also founded the non-profit Corporate Innovators Huddle; chairs the board of SF-based non-profit Full Circle Fund; is an Advisor Cal Poly’s College of Ag, Food & Environmental Sciences, the UC Davis Innovation Institute for Food & Health, US Farmers & Ranchers Alliance, Mista Foods, and is a member of the Farm Foundation’s Program Committee. He splits his time between Menlo Park and Pescadero, CA.

As a CEO, Board Member, venture and tech partner, and investor, his experience spans the tech, media, restaurant, and agrifoodtech sectors. During his career he has worked with a broad range of companies including The Mixing Bowl, Castrol innoVentures, Handmade Mobile, El Dorado Ventures, SK Telecom, Everyone.net, DIVA Systems, American Express, and Fresh Western Foods (Pizza A Go Go/Pizza My Heart; Croutons).

Sean Park has over twenty years experience working as a CFO and in finance operations for both emerging managers and venture capital platforms. In addition to First Republic Bank, he has worked at BlueRun Ventures, SAP (Sapphire) Ventures, Khosla Ventures, and Lightspeed Ventures.
